Cheltenham Bach Choir kicks off its 80th birthday season with Bach’s Mass in B minor (BWV 232), which has been described as one of the supreme achievements in classical music history. Completed in 1749, just a year before his death, it has been described as a “summation” of his life’s work, incorporating every musical style and technique he mastered throughout his life.
